Fasteners for aluminium profiles are the screws, nuts and connecting elements used to join slotted profiles into frames, tables, racks and machine guards. T-slot nuts have M5–M8 threads and weigh from 3 g, T-head screws are 12–20 mm long and a leveling screw lets you adjust the height by ±50 mm. The range matches aluminium profiles, most commonly sized 30 × 30 to 45 × 90 mm with an 8 or 10 mm slot.
Which T-slot nuts and slot screws should you choose?
T-slot nuts are inserted into the profile slot and hold the screw of the attached part. The T-slot nut KEA-30 has an M6 thread; the 096H series nuts are available with M5, M6 and M8 threads at 3 g each. Spring nuts KEE-30 (M6, 8.7 g) and KEE-40 (M8, 10.2 g) complete the range for mounting into an already assembled frame. T-head slot screws such as the T-head screw KDA-8x16 (16 mm, 10 g) come in lengths of 12–20 mm; half-round, cylindrical and countersunk head screws in M6 and M8 are also available.
Connectors, clamps and feet for slotted aluminium profiles
Two profiles are joined with the right-angle connectors KCH1-30 and KCH1-40 (20 g), the KCR1-40 clamp made of nickel-plated zinc alloy, the M10 connecting element for 40 × 40 profiles and the M12 × 30 connecting screw for 40 × 40 and 45 × 45 profiles. Further types are available among the joints for aluminium profiles. The structure stands on the leveling screw K-1209E-M8 with a Ø 38 mm base and 87 mm height or on the AD-5508MRM adjustable foot (M8, 55 mm); guard doors are carried by the steel hinge for 40 × 40 profiles.
