Side guides for crates on flow racks and conveyors
Guide rails for roller tracks are side rails that keep a crate or box on the centre line of the track, so it moves smoothly over the rollers without hitting the structure. Aluminium guide rails come in a length of 4000 mm for tracks 35, 40 and 60 mm wide, plastic guides in a length of 3000 or 4000 mm and a width of 41–87 mm. They are used on FIFO flow racks, where the tracks have a standard slope of 3°, as well as on gravity conveyors.
Aluminium or plastic side guide?
Aluminium guide rails are electrically conductive and therefore suitable for ESD environments – for example PA-613B for 60 mm tracks weighs 2.36 kg at a length of 4000 mm and comes in an ESD version. The Aluminium Guide Rail for Roller Track 35 mm PA-313B complements roller tracks 35 mm. Plastic guides are designed for standard environments; the narrowest guide for roller track PA-401A is 41 mm wide, 3000 mm long and weighs 619 g/m.
Which guide rail for which track width and crate type?
For 40 mm tracks use the aluminium rails PA-413, PA-405A and PA-415B, for 60 mm tracks PA-613B and PA-615B; the narrow PA-405E guide is 27.8 mm wide. Wider plastic profiles of 75 and 87 mm guide larger crates. The steel guide for crates WG-0430, 430 mm long and 70 mm wide, can be fitted at the front of a lane.
