Instrument wheels – swivel, fixed and braked castors, 75 and 100 mm
Swivel and locking castors for stands, tables and trolleys
Enprag instrument wheels are castors with ball bearings and a galvanized steel housing that you fasten to the frame of a stand, table or trolley with a screw or a mounting plate. They come in diameters of 75 and 100 mm with a load capacity of 60–200 kg per wheel; for light-duty applications there is the steel castor BC-701S with an outer diameter of 47 mm and a load of 20 kg. The castors are part of the accessories for modular systems built from tubes or aluminium profiles.
Swivel castors or fixed wheels?
Swivel castors let you change direction on the spot, fixed wheels keep a trolley running in a straight line. The rotating instrument wheel, diameter 75 mm carries 60 kg and has a thermoplastic rubber tread on a polypropylene disc; the 100 mm version carries 80 kg. The fixed instrument wheel with cover 423a14J100gZPG with a polyamide disc and elastic rubber tread carries 200 kg.
Castors with brake and lock: when do you need them?
Castors with a brake or lock hold a stand or table firmly in place while you work. The rotating wheel with full locking blocks both the wheel and the swivel head (75 mm / 60 kg, 100 mm / 80 kg). The wheel 377r39J100rZLD with directional lock (100 kg) keeps a straight course; the direction lock r 434 ZPH is available as an accessory. To compensate for an uneven floor, you can fit the stand with elements from the height adjustment category instead of castors.

Frequently asked questions
Which castors should I choose for my floor, load and frequency of use?
Enprag selects the diameter and tread according to floor, load and operation: a 75 mm wheel with a capacity of 60 kg is enough for light stands, heavier trolleys need a 100 mm wheel with elastic rubber for up to 200 kg. Treads are available in thermoplastic or elastic rubber, or in polyurethane on a cast-iron centre.
What load capacity do Enprag instrument wheels have?
Enprag instrument wheels carry from 20 kg (castor BC-701S) through 60–80 kg for 75 and 100 mm wheels up to 200 kg for wheels with a polyamide disc. The load capacity is stated per wheel.
What is the difference between a full lock and a directional lock on a castor?
A full lock on Enprag castors stops both the wheel and the swivel head, whereas a directional lock (e.g. wheel 377r39J100rZLD, 100 kg) only fixes the direction of travel. The stand then either stays put while you work or runs straight along a long route.
How is an instrument wheel attached to the frame?
Enprag wheels with a screw hole (e.g. 344a39J075rZLC) are fastened with a screw, the fixed wheel 423a14J100gZPG with a mounting plate and the castor BC-701S with a screw-on plate. For a 12 mm hole, a plastic reducer to 10 mm is available.
