Mobile gravity flow rack with return tracks
The mobile gravity flow rack, built from a modular tube system, allows materials to be stored and picked sequentially from containers, with container returns handled within the same structure. The supply roller tracks are complemented by upper return tracks that slope in the opposite direction and can be used, for example, to return empty containers.
Containers move along the inclined tracks under their own weight, without a motor drive. Once the material has been used, the empty container can be placed on a return track and sent back towards the replenishment side. Swivel castors allow the rack to be moved as required, while the brakes secure it in the chosen position.
- upper return tracks sloping in the opposite direction
- 4 swivel castors with brakes, Ø 100 mm
- load capacity per level: 100 kg
- total load capacity: 600 kg
- dimensions (H × W × D): 1 969 × 1 309 × 1 263 mm
Custom solutions: we adapt the rack dimensions, the number of tracks and the layout of the return tracks to the containers used and the required stock level. The design also takes into account how materials are replenished and empty containers are returned.
FAQ
When is a rack with return tracks useful?
It is suitable for workstations where operators regularly use materials from containers and send the empty containers back for refilling. Separate supply and return tracks help organise the movement of full and empty containers between the operator and the replenishment side.
What matters when designing the return tracks?
We take into account the dimensions and weight of empty containers, how often they are returned and how they are collected on the replenishment side. We also design the track height and layout around the way operators handle the containers and the space available.
