Multi-level gravity flow rack
The multi-level gravity flow rack, built from a modular tubular system, provides organised storage and sequential picking of materials in containers. Six levels of roller tracks make use of the available height and keep stocks of several types of material in one place. The rack is suitable for storage, material supply and order picking.
Containers move along the inclined roller tracks under their own weight towards the picking point, without a motorised drive. When the front container is removed, the next one moves into its place. During the design stage, the vertical spacing between levels can be adapted to the container sizes and the access required to the materials.
- 6 levels of roller tracks
- modular pipe system
- load capacity per level: 100 kg
- dimensions (H × W × D): 1 670 × 933 × 1 853 mm
Custom solutions: we adapt the rack dimensions, number of levels and track layout to the containers used, the required stock level and the available space. The design also takes into account the weight of the materials and how they are replenished and picked.
FAQ
When is a multi-level design the right choice?
It is suitable wherever you need to keep stocks of several types of material in one place and floor space is limited. The number and arrangement of levels should be chosen to suit both the required stock level and operator access to individual containers.
How is the appropriate spacing between levels determined?
We start with the height of the containers and the way materials are picked. We consider whether operators remove whole containers or pick individual parts directly from them. This determines the handling space required in the design.
How can I get a custom rack design?
Contact our specialists using the enquiry form, by phone or by email. They will discuss your operational requirements with you and prepare a rack design tailored to your needs free of charge.
