Visual management in manufacturing is a lean manufacturing method that makes information about materials, locations and process status visible right at the workplace – on labels, in pockets, on boards and on the floor. Workplace standardisation: which label holders and pockets to choose?
Workplace standardisation starts with uniform labelling of racks, containers and locations. LH label holders are 30 mm high (LH-3010CS to LH-3030CS, 12–36 g) or 55 mm high (LH-5010CL to LH-5030CL, 22–55 g) in lengths of 100–300 mm; the PN-3515 (150 × 35 mm) and PN-5415 (150 × 54 mm) holders take adhesive labels. Job tickets and work instructions fit into hanging pockets and labels of the NP range from 120 × 40 mm to 430 × 310 mm and into anti-glare A3–A5 magnetic pockets supplied in sets of 10. Boards for shop floor management and Kanban
Shop floor management needs a place where the team at the line can see the plan, results and problems. Enprag visual boards have an overall height of 2170 mm and a depth of 816 mm: the one-sided magnetic board 24042533, the mobile whiteboard with perforated panel 24042532 with a 1000 × 1532 mm surface, castors and handles on both sides, and the 2038 mm wide double-sided magnetic board 24042531. VARIO WALL wall brackets hold 5 or 10 A4 panels, the VARIO MAGNET WALL 5 attaches magnetically, and the A4 steel writing pad with clip QG2-510.2376 makes notes at the line easy.
How to mark aisles and zones with floor marking tape?
Floor marking defines traffic routes, storage areas and safety zones. Supreme V floor tape has a rubber adhesive and chamfered edges, Xtreme floor tape a rubber adhesive with extreme adhesion; both come in several versions.
